Read below to learn how to properly care for hair extensions that require the lowest maintenance to hair extensions that require the highest maintenance.
Low Maintenance
Straight and BodyWave texture
Before Installation
Before installing your luxury hair extensions, it is recommend to co-wash your hair. Co-washing hair extensions consists of cleansing your hair with conditioner only. Co-washing gives hair extensions an extra boost of smoothness and luster. It also never hurts to give your hair an extra cleanse before installation. After cleansing, it is recommended to let your hair extensions air dry on a flat surface.
After Installation
Once your tresses are installed, it is important to brush and comb your hair before and after bed. This will prevent tangling. It is recommended to sleep with your hair wrapped in a satin scarf or bonnet to reduce friction and breakage. Due to the silky texture of our straight texture, it may appear to have "static" if it's rubbed against a non-soft surface or with plastic. Simply use "static guard" to rid the hair of static.
When you're ready to wash and condition your hair, it is recommended to use a shampoo that is sulfate-free. Sulfates cause cell damage and strips of the hair of it's natural texture, shine, and luster. It is best to wash your tresses with a shampoo that contains Moroccan or argon oil to maintain its luster.
Medium maintenance
DeepWave Texture
Waves are gorgeous, but require a tad more maintenance. DeepWave is one of our most versatile textures. It can be worn with its natural texture, it can be curled, it can also be straightened. Please be aware that when heat is added to this texture, waves will not be as defined as they were before heat was added.
Before Installation
It is recommended to co-wash your tresses to define your waves. It is important to rinse this texture with cool water. A warmer temperature will loosen your wave pattern. Let your extensions air dry for the best result.
After Installation
To keep your waves gorgeous, it is recommended to wet your hair with a spray bottle mixed with a conditioner when your hair begins to appear dry or frizzy. We recommend a conditioner by "curls unleashed" . Or you can use a curl refresher/ detangler. When it is time for bed, braid your hair in two large braids. It will help maintain your wave and decrease tangling during the night. Never go to bed with your hair wet, it will lead to matting. Wash and condition with "curls unleashed" shampoo and conditioner to keep the definition of your waves. However, any sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner will work.
Curly Texture
Curls are flawless, but require the most maintenance. It requires to be wet daily with a water/conditioner mix or curl defining spray.
